About Donna Greenberg
A graduate of Teachers College Columbia University, Donna J. Greenberg, M.A., Director of Special Education Advocacy and Consultation Services, LLC, has served as a parent/child advocate for many years in a variety of settings. With caring, understanding, and compassion, Donna specializes in providing families with a win-win situation by offering creative solutions for achievement.
Educational Advocate and Consultant for Parents of Children with Special Needs
Serving as a member of a district Child Study Team for more than 25 years, Donna has extensive knowledge of childhood disabilities and experience working with children with special education needs and their families. She has provided social assessments and both individual and group counseling services to school-age children with disabilities. Donna has conducted self-esteem groups, social skills groups, as well as self-advocacy groups for children of all ages. She has led support groups for parents of children with special needs.
Expert Consultant
An expert in the area of school social work, Donna advocates maximizing the opportunities for the success of children with special needs by helping school administrators, child study teams, teachers, and parents work together to meet the academic, emotional, social, and behavioral challenges of children with disabilities. Donna has been an adjunct professor and has taught courses in special education. She has received training in advocacy from SPAN, the Statewide Parent Advocacy Network.
